School Screenings

There are several film options available to schools at the Barbican.  For upper secondary, we offer up to 50 free tickets for each bi-monthly Science on Screen event. We also take part in the annual Into Film Festival for primary and secondary schools and, from time-to-time, offer Barbican-programmed schools screenings as part of our seasons and festivals.

Science on Screen

Throughout the year notable figures from science and medicine introduce their favourite films, making unexpected connections which show how scientific perspectives can shed light on artistic, cultural, and social issues.

There are 50 free tickets available to schools for our Science on Screen programme each month. If you are interested in accessing tickets to Science on Screen, please email creative.learning@barbican.org.uk with with the following information:

• the total number of child tickets required
• the total number of adult tickets required
• your school's name
• lead teacher/educator contact name
• contact email and telephone number

Barbican Schools’ Screenings

From time to time, we organise screenings exclusively for schools. These screenings are advertised on this page when available.

Tickets are £2 per student. Accompanying adults go free.
