Zoe Laughlin gives a demonstration to show the amazing physical characteristics of objects invented to change our world. This is your chance to encounter some of the most wondrous matter on earth; from shape-memory paperclips and magnetic liquids, to the lightest solid in the world.

Zoe is a co-founder/director of the Institute of Making and the Materials Library project. An artist and maker, she holds an MA from Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design and obtained a PhD in Materials within the Division of Engineering, King's College London.
