The members of Okwess International are among the best musicians of Kinshasa, Congo. Their leader, Jupiter Bokondji has created his own musical style 20 years ago, a style he has baptized "Bofenia Rock" which reawakens the forgotten melodies and rhythms of the Congo's 450 ethnic groups, giving them an inimitable urban spin.
