Barbican Art Gallery is delighted to be part of this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, with a Bauhaus-themed event in association with The Concept Lounge.
To complement the eagerly-anticipated Bauhaus: Art as Life exhibition, join us for the Bauhaus: New Horizons event, comprising of a guided tour of the exhibition, a tailored walk through the Barbican to Clerkenwell and ending with a creative workshop inspired by the Bauhaus at the Farmiloe Building.
The event includes:
11.30am Exhibition Tour Begin with a tour of the Bauhaus: Art as Life exhibition, led by a Barbican Art Gallery curator.
12 - 1pm Bauhaus Walk Take a tailored walk from the Barbican to the Farmiloe Building, and be inspired by Bauhaus-related architecture and design along the way.
1 - 2.30pm Bauhaus: New Horizons - The Shape of Things to Come The day’s event concludes with a creative workshop led by The Concept Lounge at the Farmiloe Building. Featuring select designers from Clerkenwell Design Week the workshop considers the values of contemporary design and practice to explore how diverse modern lifestyles and aesthetic influences contribute towards the architectural shape and narrative of the city.
