The new Headquarters of Rothschild Bank is OMA’s first major London building. Located only a ten-minute walk from the Barbican, we will be leading weekly Saturday walks to see it near completion. The tour begins at the exhibition, with a focus on Rothschild HQ exhibits. It will also examine Barbican’s own credentials as the last piece of utopian planning in London, before snaking through the City to analyse – from the outside – what makes the OMA building such a stand-out piece of contemporary architecture.
Tours are led by Eva Branscome and last approximately one hour.
Sat 4 Feb Tour This walk is the only one to include access inside the Rothschild building on the foyer level. Join Rothschild Archivist Melanie Aspey for an introduction to the Bank’s archive and history.
