The Barbican Centre and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama are seeking to appoint a Culture Partnership Project Manager (Maternity Leave) for the East London Cultural Education Partnership (ELCEP), an initiative supported through grants from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and A New Direction.

ELCEP is a consortium of cultural and education partners from across the East London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Islington, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and the City of London. The partnership plays a critical role in providing a strategic approach to cultural education in East London, enhancing and strengthening the cultural offer to children and young people, tailoring and targeting offers that can best respond to identified needs.

The Culture Partnership Project Manager will play a key role on the ELCEP Steering Group, ensuring programme delivery is on track, leading business development for the partnership and line managing the Manager of ELCEP's flagship 'Creative Schools' programme. They will also work closely with the Director and Creative Learning team to ensure maximum impact of existing and planned Barbican Guildhall programmes for the partners.

You'll need to be an accomplished project and partnership manager with experience of engaging with arts organisations, educational institutions, and other strategic partners. You will also have experience of managing budgets, writing reports and briefs and of coordinating research, monitoring and evaluation processes. You will need to be a highly organised, motivated and articulate individual, capable of building effective relationships with a wide range of existing and potential partners. An in depth knowledge of the cultural and education sectors in the UK together with a good track record of working in the field of arts and partnerships is essential. You will ideally have existing knowledge and networks within the East London Boroughs.
